Greeting Cards, The Measurable Value of Keeping in Touch
I’ve been writing 5 cards per week to current referral sources. In about 4 weeks, this has brought me three lecture invitations and a new patient. These cards have earned me a lot of thank-you’s from the recipients too. I let the free seminar planners know that my ability to give such lectures depends on their generous referrals.
What about the easiest referrals likely to come from these seminars? Are these likely to be cash paying clients? No. Will I do the work of seeing these patients? No. Will I make sure the client gets matched with a good therapist? Yes. Do I own a home health agency? No. Will and do I earn money on the transaction? Yes. Those approximate 25 cards earned me $250.
Attendees of my seminars really have good time! I get them up on their feet and moving and sometimes show them wedding pictures of my newlywed 93 year old grandpa. I also presented an incident of my sister in-law’s Uncle Frank water skiing on his 100th birthday!
If the seminar planners find someone that needs physical therapy or personal training once their insurance runs out who do you think they’ll be obligated to call? By the way I’ll share the slideshow with any physical therapist who invests in his or her future.
All the best,
Lance
